When my mom, her brothers, and SILs were cleaning out my Grandmothers house, I hate to think some of the things that may have been discarded and not even put out for the tag sale. I was able to take her cracker crisper tin before the house was cleaned out. Her beautiful hand painted lamps weren't selling after 2 days of the tag sale and I'm so glad that I brought them home as they are perfect in my living room. I grabbed a great vintage BBQ tray out of the box destined for Goodwill. All of these treasures make me smile every day.Linda Ruthiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11262131386645244447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5089197969206589217.post-72122588284595835722012-04-26T15:13:46.160-07:002012-04-26T15:13:46.160-07:00There really is no such thing as too many jewels, ...There really is no such thing as too many jewels, beads, or babbles in my books, either. When I examined them closer they were several pieces of sterling silver marcasite that my grandma had worn in her 20s, and a 4-piece 18ct gold cameo set. So thank god they were salvaged from- not even the thrift store- the rubbish!Georgia Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11802835174547914151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5089197969206589217.post-81027622832268042022012-04-25T04:20:41.901-07:002012-04-25T04:20:41.901-07:00I rescued my Mom's, my aunt's, and my gran...I rescued my Mom's, my aunt's, and my grandmother's jewelry from being donated to a thrift store! I love giving things away, to give them a new home when it no longer feels like I'm using them. My grandma is an avid dumpster diver, and keeps finding treasures for her grandchildren. One time she even found a dress-dummy and gave it to me =)Erikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08762815696807107905noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5089197969206589217.post-45646364148052791802012-04-24T23:49:47.556-07:002012-04-24T23:49:47.556-07:00they are lovely !! in Britain we call it skip divi...they are lovely !! in Britain we call it skip diving :) its amazing what you can find!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5089197969206589217.post-64590308713052786082012-04-24T23:11:04.245-07:002012-04-24T23:11:04.245-07:00You are so right; there is no such thing as too mu...You are so right; there is no such thing as too much jewerly.
