A couple days last week were nice and sunny, but we're back into rainy spring mode.
For now it looks like I have to live through the delicate pages of a Spring/Summer 1950 Montgomery Wards catalogue.
How crisp and bright everything is!
I'm especially in love with the large print skirt in the last photo. Such a bold print looks incredibly feminine, especially with the simple white top.
I absolutely adore photos like this, I can't stop staring them! I'd love to be able to watercolour photos like this! Gorgeous dresses too! XxxX http://thesecondhandrose.blogspot.co.uk/
As usual, my eyes went straight to the bright shoes and skirt with oversized floral print! So predictable. lol. Hope that you get some nice, springtime weather soon--I'd send some of ours your way if I could. ;)
I like the blue number with the lace embellishment (J)...This is an easy way to glam up a dress that's sewn out of a plain solid fabric. Make sure there's a pretty scallop edge on the lace too. I'm thinking you wouldn't even need a 1/2 yard to make this work on a short-sleeve dress.

Wouldn't you love to know how old these women were? 20's? 30's?
I love looking through old catalogues! Thanks so much for sharing this.
I'll have the (B) dress with white pair of (P) shoes please. :D
I love that print skirt too! But most of all, I love all the green shoes they're advertising. I can't find a pair of green heels for anything...
Ohh such beautiful dresses! I wish these were the images we would see flipping through modern magazines. I would run out and buy them all.
xo,

Oooh. How lovely! They almost make me wish we weren't going into Winter here ;)

*sigh* all so gorgeous! But for me it's the ankle strap wedges that make me gasp!
So pretty, love these dresses! X
Swoon, thank you for sharing. I am in love with the dress on the right in the top picture, I love the contrast belt.
Oh my, what pretty outfits! I wouldn't say 'no' to any of them!
