Within the past year or so I've had pretty good luck with Lanz dresses from the 70s and 80s. They manage to keep the high quality they were known for, and not be too trendy (no double knit polyester found so far, yay!). I'm not too familiar with vintage brands, but Lanz is something I always come back to. They are an Austrian brand, started making traditional folkwear in the 1920s, then moved to manufacturing Austrian inspired clothing in the U.S. in the 1940s. You can see my Lanz dirndl, but I'm not sure when it's from, dating the Austrian clothing is extra difficult.

So lovely! I agree: Lanz dresses are wonderful. I have quite a few in my collection and they are in constant rotation.
Soooooo pretty! I remember wearing prints like that in the late 80s when peasant dresses were all the rage. ;)
Love the print on this dress. It looks great with the corseted belt.

That is the absolutely perfect belt for this flirty, sweet dress. You've got me yearning for both a belt like that and a beautiful Lanz dress now :)

Lanz is a fab brand, I agree. I have these random vintage favs I know nothing about but I seem to favour the same vintage brands over and over... I have loads of R&K originals. And Laura Ashley.
Not only is that Lanz dress spectacular, I'm in love with your belt! What kind of belt is it? I'd love to get something like that.
Ohhhh, I adore!
WHERE did you get your shoes?!?! They are GORGEOUS!!!
You're right, it is very Disney Princess like! It looks fantastic on you, and seems super comfortable, which is a must for my clothing.
Cheers!

Gorgeous dress, and I love the addition of the belt! I haven't seen any Lanz dresses lately in the thrift stores (I love them so much!), and the ones I had seen seemed to be priced higher. Which makes me suspect that the stores are on to us. lol.
I love that dress but I really LOVE that belt! I want one like that :) My favorite brand is L'aiglon... so perfect. I'll keep an eye out for Lanz!
