Yum yum yum!!! I cooked a pie using this recipe too and i must say, it was pretty delicious! http://thechroniclesofaneccentric.blogspot.com.au/search?q=pear+pie *sigh* why did you have to end pushing daisies?? Why? :( x
yummy! I've been doing so much baking in the holidays (I've made two batches of macarons, yum!) and this post has me craving pie. Normally it's apple pie, but pear sounds delicious.
Oh my goodness, you have read my mind!!! Just the other day I was watching Pushing Daises (yet again I am working my way through the episodes and little bit addicted again:), and was thinking how I could make this pie!!! My plans for the weekend have just gone up a notch:)
Your food and photography are lovely - just joined your blog as a new follower! Love this pear tart. I wish I could pull up a chair and sample a piece!
Pushing daisies is such a good show! I was so sad when it ended prematurely :( This pie looks amazing and I think even the pie maker himself would be impressed!
Oh, I always thought that sounded absolutely delicious but never thought to actually make it myself! I think I might wait until autumn though...? It's really cherry and strawberry time right now. Particularly cherry... And, now talking about pie is having the reverse effect and making me think about awesome TV shows, but this time it's Twin Peaks!
What a fun bit of serendipity. I just stumbled across your blog and was looking at your lovely photos when I saw this recipe. RANDOMLY, I made this same exact recipe for Christmas last year, and it was a big hit.
I miss Pushing Daisies! It just wasn't the same after it came back after the writer's strike.

Um, I need a Ruth in my life to bake and take amazing photos. What a talented photographer!
This pie has just the right blend of elegance meets rustic charm to it, and puts me in the mood (thanks to the pears) for autumn's return.

yummmmy! :D
Oh, those look good!
I learned to bake pies specifically because of Pushing Daisies, but have never tried a Gruyere crust. Bravo! Also a good excuse to wear a cute apron.
