Sunday was a lazy Sunday which called for my favorite leopard lounge set. Jumpsuit and sleeveless duster by Le Voys, another brand I'm taking a liking to. I have two lounge sets by that label, and they'e such great quality and design I though for sure they'd be one of those sought after brands. Looking the name up there's barely anything out there! So I guess not. But I like it, and will keep an eye out for more from that maker.
Oh my hair?
I just whipped that up for an "off" day.
Haha. No.
Kristen Behlings did it for a fashion show I was in for Jitterbuggin on Saturday. More on that later! But yes, it turned out fabulous. She is a magician. No I will not learn how to do it and do a tutorial. If I tried to do it myself I would end up sobbing in front of the mirror with scissors in one hand and matted chopped off hair in the other.
I got the lounge set while working for Urban Eccentric Vintage. The jumpsuit came in the shop first, and it was one of those things I resisted buying. But it was constantly mocked and scowled at by customers ("who would wear that?"), which I always silently took as a challenge to make it look fabulous. So when the matching duster came in the shop I finally took them both home.
Mission complete.
And this is probably the most hilarious picture of Hobbes and I there ever will be.
I know what you mean about the do. Whenever I attempt a curl my hair just looks like it's pointing to somebody in the next room, rather rudely I might add.
Why anyone would have failed to find the awesomeness in that outift has me baffled? It just goes to show people have no taste, which leaves all the more bargains for us savvy shoppers right x Fran
I just find your blog, and watch it. I like it very much. You've got wonderful style :) You've got very lovely outfits, and pictures. I love vintage too, a little other than you, but it's always vintage :) Sorry for my english, it's not good ;)
I've been meaning to mention this for a while, but I wanted to tell you that you're one of my absolute favourite blogs. I adore you because you seem so very down to earth, you're one of the most fashionable ladies yet you maintain this approachable image of yourself. Sorry to babble at you, I just thought I'd let you know how wonderful I think you are!
I did my hair like that last Christmas (as inspired by Jean Arthur in The More The Merrier) and I was actually surprised at how easy it was. I have a lot thinner hair than you, but still. You might have luck if you ever do decide to try! :)
Your story of people jeering reminded me of a time I was shopping and spotted across the room the most amazing 70s tote and a pair of girls pick it up, call it ugly, and then buy it for a halloween party (probably threw it away after). Heartbroken. I'm happy you were able to give this piece the love it deserved!
Amazing, completely marvelous hair - which I can relate 100% to your description of what would happen if you attempted to recreate that look yourself. I have actually reached the point of sobbing while attempting a hairstyle, and the intended outcome wasn't half as fabulous as this.

The last photo with you and Hobbes had me crying laughing. That made my day.
I wonder if your friend the hair styling genius. Would consider doing a vintage/retro hair tutorial. Your hair style in these photos reminds me of famous Betty Grable updo, photo link http://www.viphairstyles.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Betty-Grables-Hairstyles.jpg its killer diller.
Since I found your blog earlier this year, I've been poring over it- soooooo fantastic! I have a question, though; is there a way (or can you create a way) to search for a certain topic you've covered? Maybe you have a search bar and I haven't seen it?
Thanks for sharing your love of vintage fashion with us, you've been an inspiration to actually wear something different out in public!
