1938 Picnic Pics

Photobucket

I wish you could have all been there for our little 1938 picnic this weekend. It was a lovely, relaxing afternoon, with Julie of Fab Gabs, Rhiannon of Garb Oh Vintage, Janey of Atomic Redhead, Alexsandra of Alexsandras Vintage Emporium, and Anna of Anna in Technicolor, among others in attendance. I was so glad some of the usual crowd could make it out as well as some people I've never met before, and I hope to see them again!

Rhiannon brought a 1937-38 Sears catalog we all swooned over, and Anna brought a cake to share that was the lightest and fluffiest I've ever eaten! Everyone looked incredible, and it was so nice to spend time with like minded people.

Looking forward to the next vintage gathering!
xoxo

I would love to go shopping with you and your friends! You all have impeccable taste and constantly look so well put together. If only all of us had such a good sense of style!

I love these kind of picnics!!! I'm dying to see your complete outfit! I often see 30's style picnics but have you ever tought about a 50's style one? Must be easy to find some colorfull plastic dishes and pretty floral dresses...

I'm completely over the moon with all those lovely ladies, not to forget the handsome man. Unfortunately I don't know anyone in my area who is interested in such things. Lonely!!!

What an picturesquely wonderful way to pass a warm, gorgeous summer day. I adore the range of 1930s looks in this post, and just know I'll be coming back to it for inspiration should I decide to channel this decade more in the future.

Oh! I would have loved to go to the picnic as well and learn more about how to dress up back in the heydays. Such a lovely picnic at the park the 30's way. :)
