1938 Picnic
{Image Source}
Let's have a picnic!
1938 is possibly my favorite year of fashion. It just had everything. Pre-war, lots of color and whimsical styles. So I'm hosting a casual picnic in the spirit of 1938, and you're invited!
Where-Old Army Barracks in Vancouver WA
When-Friday August 24th 12:00 PM
Period clothing is required, late 30s/early 40s.
Bring a picnic blanket, and a lunch.
Children welcome!

I wish I could come! 1938 to the middle of 1941 are about my favorite fashion years ever!!
Oh wow, what a cool idea! I wish I didn't live across the pond, otherwise I'd be there in a heartbeat. I hope you take and post lots of photos!
This sounds so fun! Wish I lived closer. Lovely photo, as well; they look like they are thoroughly enjoying themselves. :)

Sounds like a FABULOUS day! This is one of those times that I wish I didn't live on the other side of the world...
Amazing! I think I need to move to America just for these events. Or maybe start hosting my own?
What an awesomely lovely, thoughtful idea! If it were in Vancouver, B.C. (which is considerably closer to me), I'd try and sweet talk the mister into a road trip for sure. As it's not though, please know that I'll be there in festive, picnic loving spirit.

I like the ratio of bottles of wine to women! Something so right about it
It looks like so much fun, too bad it is not on a weekend day! Will you be hosting others? I just came back from spending 3 days living in the 1940's at D Day Ohio, and I am a bit sad to be back in the modern world.
