Spent a couple days with family at the coast and Astoria this week. It was so nice to get away from the heat! One evening I even had to wear my sweater. Ah sweater weather. How I adore you.
We helped my brother paint his house a bit, explored downtown, and played some croquet. And the beach! I'm not much of a beach person, but love to spend time near the ocean. I spent most of the time people watching under the shade of a parasol and long pants, can't get another sunburn this year!
I was in Astoria Mon-Thursday this week, it was so gorgeous! We went to Fort Stevens/Shipwreck beach on Wednesday, it was hot! So rare for Astoria. Beauty pictures!

I adore croquet! And I think I would have been joining you under the parasol on the beach. Like you say, lovely to be by the ocean but not under the blaze of the sun. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos - they really capture the essence of being at the beach.
