Hot days and big hair

{Photos by Sam}

Today we went to a lovely wedding, and having done a 1960s photoshoot for Fab Gabs this week, I was in a very 60s mood. It was actually my favorite shoot we've done in a while, I guess the 60s are not something
I do very often, but it was such a fun era in fashion. I need to take it on more!

Speaking of Fab Gabs, I'm now assisting with some social networking, my favorite being Pinterest, and putting together these "Get the Look" sets. Requests are welcome!

This dress has been a nice summer favorite. I found it last October on the Halloween racks at Goodwill for $5.99! I thought it was vintage, but then saw the label, and after cleaning and ironing, it's good as new. And it just so happened someone had already tailored it to fit a short waist, so thanks previous owner!

Absolutely lovely! The early and mid-60s are one of my favorite eras when it comes to fashion(I think it all went downhill after that ;). It's a really lovely silhouette on you, and I adore your French twist!

And I'm so jealous that you scored that for $5.99 at Goodwill! I've managed to find a few vintage things while thrifting, but it seems as though they are becoming harder to come by now that people are starting to realize their value.

The dress completely fooled me. I would NEVER have guessed it wasn't vintage. Good score!

I have to say, I'm really liking the 60's look on you. Maybe even more that 50's or 40's.

This is such a gorgeous outfit and a beautiful dress! Your hair looks lovely too. It's always great when a dress is tailored for a short waist! I tend to have to tailor mine too and it's never an easy fix when there's a zipper down the back.
