Stanford 1946

 photo Aprcake039_zps96344853.jpg

My Aunt and Uncle just got me a Stanford yearbook from 1946, and it's full of gems. I'm still going through it but here are a few photos I love, I just can't get enough of the plaid skirts and sweaters.

Your vintage yearbook collection is such a fantastic delight. I love the photos you share with us, and completely agree about the appeal of this classic plaid skirt + sweater combo (love the ruffles on the front skirt the gal is wearing in the first two photos).

It's always neat to see people in their everyday wear. The first girl in the plaid skirt on the left in the first picture (if that's not confusing) totally looks like 1940s Robin from How I Met Your Mother.

Loving all of these preppy collegiate styles! Now all I need is to find myself a nice plaid skirt and have a go at recreating some of these looks to wear to class :D

The photo by the water is awesome, they don't do men/bikinis like this anymore...

Lovely.:) I really admire the shoes with white socks they used to wear. I'd love to have them but it's really hard to find some.
