Of course red is a neutral! And let's face it, any outfit benefits from a touch of red. Well, maybe not any outfit at all, but you know what I mean! ; )
Yay for red! I, as you know, utterly adore red and think one can't ever wear it too much. ;) lol. Loving that plaid dress you're wearing (what I can see of it! ;)!
As far as I'm concerned, plaid is a neutral! I saw the title of this post and knew I'd love it. Two of my absolute favorites, Bakelite and plaid. I might not be exaggerating if I were to say a good 1/3 to 1/2 of my blouses are plaid.
Do you pay an arm and a leg for bakelite? THis woman was selling vintage bakelite jewelry for HUNDREDS of dollars a peice, and I had to laugh! Please tell me she was just being greedy!
Crickey, there's a vixen vintage and a vintage vixen. I've been getting very confused...and probably confusing others by misappropriating comments. All sorted now though.
Misfits vintage, I identify it by rubbing it with my thumb a few seconds and sniffing it. If it smells like formaldehyde, it's bakelite!
Nikita, thank you so much!
Anonymous, actually, one of the reasons I love bakelite is the thrill of the hunt! My most "expensive" bangle is the red one, I got it for $20, and the green one was $15, the rest were all under 50 cents! I have luck finding them at garage sales and such :) But yes, they are worth crazy prices!
I would say never neutral but always a sensation :)
