I'm attracted to warm mustard colors for fall like a moth to a flame.
I don't know where it started, but ever since knitting my sweater last year, I can't keep away, and luckily it's a very popular color this year!
It's everywhere!
This weekend I joined my mother and cousin Ruth for some fall shopping in Portland. It was a perfectly gray day, and we all went home with something. It seemed an ideal day for wearing a new scarf and matching shoes, if you're interested in the way the scarf is wrapped, I'll do a tutorial on here soon!
The shoes are a gift from ModCloth, and I got asked about a thousand times where they're from!
Oh, yes, mustard's the prettiest hue, especially for autumn. You look so stunning in your turban! And ooh, I've had my eyes on those shoes for some time, stalking them for a sale, haha. They really are adorable.
I started loving mustard ever since I made a hair flower out of some vintage fabric I got. :) And i love those sparkly gold shoes you have in that pile in your arms!
Golly you look good! Mustard is certainly very addictive, it's one of those colours I used to stear away from but after'just a taste, I can't get enough! Same with rusty brown red... xox
I'm so in love with your ensemble today! Super sweet. Mustard is one of my all time fave colors as well so I'm excited to see it in your post! Have a great week!
Oh yes, I am with you on the mustard bandwagon! I'm currently knitting a plain mustardy cardigan myself. It's warm and inviting and kind of cheery...and I don't care if it probably makes my coloring look sallow. LOL
Your shoes are amazing! I recently bought a mustard dress its such a warm cosey colour. I am so pleased i found your blog i'm looking forward to reading future posts
I have been drooling over those shoes for weeks! Alas, practicality won out and my last shoe purchase was to replace the ballet flats I recently trashed, as well as buying some sensible black pumps. (Booooring!) But those shoes are still calling to me! ;)
Yes, please do a tutorial on how you tied your scarf--I love how chic it looks!
Hi Sophie-Marie :) I pick them up whenever I find them at vintage stores and antique shops, though there are some reproduction sites that carry them as well.
That picture of you holding all those shoes, where is that? What store is it? Is it a vintage store in Portland, or Vancouver? My sister lives in Portland and I plan on visiting her soon so I'd LOVE to know! Thanks!

Those shoes are lovely! Unfortunately, mustard doesn't work so well with my colouring but it looks lovely on you, and lovely for autumn, as you say.
