Vancouver, U.S.A.

As you probably know, the winter olympics are being held in Vancouver B.C. next month. Well, a little known fact: There is a Vancouver Washington just a state away from the Canadian boarder. Unfortunately most people aren't aware of this, and have been making reservations at Vancouver Washington hotels, and booking flights to PDX thinking they'll attend the Olympics in B.C.

It's all kind of funny really, so I'm just saying if you're going, check your reservations, and if you end up in Vancouver Washington treat your disappointment with a seasonal milkshake at Burgerville, and wander around Officers Row. The little city's got some old school charm.

*Correction, the Olympics have already started! Sorry guys and gals, I guess I wasn't paying attention to the commercials ;)

These photos were taken at Nash Motorcycle Co.

I live in Vancouver WA! If you stop by you should also check out Fort Vancouver. And I second the Burgerville thing, my friends seriously consider Burgerville when moving away--its hard to leave our little taste of heaven.

The Olympics are happening right now actually! Not next month. The opening ceremonies were on Friday. It's crazy packed with people here right now.

That's hilarious.

My husband and I love to take road trips. The Northwest is definitely on our list. It's far from Arizona, but we hope to do it in the next few years.

I work in the travel industry, this happens A Lot. definatley check your reservations (and make reservations) at least 2 weeks before your travel dates

Yes, I am in Vancouver Canada and I am sure people would get the places confused, uhoh! And the Olympics just started, I live and work in the middle of it all and it's so nuts!

lol, that is so funny! You would think that people would double check if they're paying that much money fro travel and hotel! I couldn't imagine how ridiculous I'd feel getting to Austria and learning that I was in the wrong country!

The same thing happens in Niagara Falls USA/Canada.

Mmm, Burgerville!

hahahahahahaha Yes! I love it! *sighs* I find it absolutely awesome people are booking in Vancouver, WA and thinking they are going to BC. Maybe I'm just sick. But, if you're not going to bother reading and checking things out, you deserve what you get. For instance, I can type Washington into something, and get 1500 things for DC before I get something for actual WA. I didn't bloody type BC!

Ok, sorry to rant there.

You're so brave to sit against that tire in such a cute outfit!

Hey Solanah,

LOL My heart jumped a little when I saw your pictures - this is my family's shop. :) My hubby was potentially inside building bikes when this was taken. Unless it was taken this weekend - we were at the coast! :)

Bakelite Babe, yes we've been to your beach house! I'm not sure if that's creepy, but last year Sam and I took a family trip with the Cornells. It's just wonderful you've decorated it so cute :)

You must think I am Melissa, my SIL...nope, I am the other Nash wife! One of three. :) But that is the same beach house we were in this weekend! Small world! :) Trent & Melissa have decorated it even cuter since then, you should visit! :)
