Butter and baby hands

Today after covering for my boss for a couple of hours (felt like 20 minutes) my friend Ian and I went to the grocery store for ingredients to make scones and mojitos. The grocery store is always an interesting place, full of um....interesting people. But we got through without too many odd looks for me wearing a dress, as the usual attire is dirty pajamas. I guess I'll never fit in at the grocery store. Thank goodness. We also found other peoples grocery lists, one was I think from a crazy cat lady :)

Ian's car has a very interesting quirk, and that is that he once found a vintage baby arm in the dirt, and uses it as car decor. I think it's holding the windshield up!

When we got home we made goodies, and met Sam and our friend Caitlin to watch Wipe Out, top notch entertainment! And we made scones. Well, Ian made scones, while I stepped on bubble wrap.

On another note, I got a new lens for my camera today in the mail! Yay! I feel so much more complete. Now I can use my camera again!

You were probably the best looking person in the grocery store.
Someone should, btw, start to collect grocery lists. It would be quite interesting to see a collection.

And the baby arm is THE most scary thing ever :D

I thought at least one of those was your grocery list and I was thinking "That doesn't quite fit". Funny. Have you ever seen the book Found? I'm pretty sure there are some strange grocery lists in there...

You look so great! That dress is amazing. Last night I had a cucumber mojito! It was DELICIOUS!

Did you hear that in England certain super markets have forbidden people entering in their pajamas?

you know...the grocery store is just one of those places where nobody will ever fit in. I get odd looks no matter what i may be wearing that day. its WIERD! so when that happens to me, i just randomly start putting things in my cart to make it look like i know what I'm doing...dont judge me! lol!!
oh, and the baby arm...creeeeeepy! i love it!

... you scurvy, scone eating loiterer, you! Now, I must know, having never tried the combination - how ARE scones with mojitos? Two very different types of sinfulness.

that's so funny how you took a photo in front of the NO LOITERING sign. haha! your floral dress/cardigan ensemble is a version of my go-to, everyday outfit. i adore your version and the color of your dress especially. very fem! and you manage to wear it with some edge. the handbag "toughens" up the look. i like that. and yummy treats! i love blog posts that include a lovely outfit and mouth-watering treats. the 2 things i live for.

Inspired by my vintage on-line gals; you, Twila Jean and Super Kawaii Mama, I 'dressed-up' in a cute giraffe print dress with a Rosie hairdo and red lips. One of the library ladies said to me, 'you sure are dressed up!'. I said, 'thank you'. Yes, when the uniform is dirty pj's, anyone not slobbed out looks dressed up so I'm sure you looked like a million bucks! Keep being glamorous. (Have you read the book; Deluxe, How Luxury Lost its Lustre? It's a good book.

Beautiful dress and beautiful scones! Nom. I used to work at a grocery store where the mean customer age was about 80... They would have loved you! :D

can you actually buy hash browns? I don't think I've ever seen that on a grocery list :) Was that the crazy cat lady?

Sounds like you had a fun day! I love your dress!

If that's a crazy cat lady, she's an underachiever! 9 cans of cat food doesn't really get you all that far in one week?

I love this dress - and the baby arm!

Oh yum... I haven't had a good, homemade scone in ages! Mostly because I'm the only one in the house who eats that sort of thing.

haha... Can I tell you how much I adore the shot of the doll arm and windshield?! Maybe I'm just a bit crazy, but I love wacky things like that. ;)

KristiMcMurry, yeah, they come in frozen pre-shaped, um, shapes. You just put them in the oven ;)

Matroskin, that is wonderful!

Fab Gabs, scones and mojitos are pretty good, but not as good as scones and tea!

Tea Duchess, thanks! I have not read it, sounds good!
