I like finding color similarities in my house and my wardrobe. Lately I've been drawn to nice pinks and blues, in various shades. The other day at a rummage sale I picked out all the pastel pink and blue knitting needles from among the rest. Just because.

I've always loved the classic 1950s colour combination of aqua & pink. I have a very similar Melmac dish set! Adorable outfit as well, I like the idea of matching your fashion to your home decor.

Prettiness abounds - I find it hard to wear any other colours other than red and black! Loving the radio so much - adorable.

Yes, one of the greatest color combinations EVER!! Turquoise/pink color schemes always remind me of '50s kitsch fabulousness. You look just perfect as always; I have serious crinoline envy now!!

I adore your dress =]
Pink and blue always seem to remind me of babies, so I don't often combine the colours. But when I saw your pictures I immediately thought of boiled lollies (a good thing haha,)and not babies!
Wonderful post as always =]

The pink plastic knitting needles are such fun...although I've found plastic needles break easily. I rather go with something nicer and something more expensive...also could downsize the photos so they're easier to see on mobile phones?

MB@YarnUiPhoneApp I've never had an issue with plastic needles in my 14 years of knitting, and they're so easy to pick up at estate sales for pennies it seems silly to spend more on them at the store. If you look at the top of my page, there's a "Vixen Vintage Mobile" icon, that should help with the phone issue.

I LOVE these olours together. I think of all those pale shades of blue, pink, yellow and green when I think of summer outfits!

I recently have been drawn towards that same shade of blue, and bought two 1940's dresses that colour in two days! I then bought some powder yellow nail varnish to go with them.

You look just darling in this outfit! xx

I love the vintage aqua and pink! It is so tempting some times to drag it into the main rooms of the house, but I try to keep it contained to my craft room for hubby's sake. I did manage to get a free vintage toilet and sink set in pink from Freecycle a while ago. I'm not sure what to do with it, but I think it might end up int he basement bathroom when we get it put in.
