Wednesday morning we left a little pink motel in Limon Colorado and got back on the road...
and absolutely had to make a stop in Kansas to take pictures of Dorothy in her blue gingham playsuit and ruby slippers.
We arrived late at night in Branson Missouri...
...and the next day went to Dicks 5 and 10...
I went a little nutty there, because they had so much old stock stuff...
Even their shopping baskets were original vintage...
...and their hair products, including the display for the hairnets.
Since it was over 100 degrees out, we went for a swim...
...ok, well I mostly was on my phone...
In the afternoon we went to The Titanic Exhibit...
Which unfortunately didn't allow pictures inside...
...but we got some outside the building...

Stay tuned for lots more trip fun!

I just adore you in that retro bikini! ❤
The 5 & 10 looks awesome! I am so jealous and I don't blame you for going crazy. It looks like a ton of fantastic stuff.
That photo of you in the bathing suit is adorable! That Titanic museum looks quite elaborate--I bet the inside was fantastic!
5&10=to die for!
Sweetie, I think you just gave me permission and guts to be pale (besides some freckles and unfortunate spider veins) and beautiful in a swimsuit! I just love it!
I work in Branson and read your blog religiously. I was so hoping you would come here and I'd "accidentally" run into you!! And yes, Dick's 5 & 10 is amazing.
wow, the best stop on your trip so far! love that photo of you by the pool!

I have an unhealthy obsession with Titanic! I've been to the traveling museum 5 times, but have yet to make it to Branson for the big one. It's on the Bucket List. Can you imagine walking down the grand staircase in a lovely Edwardian evening gown, on the most spectacular ship in the world?
I love your retro swimsuit - you look amazing in it! Would you mind sharing where you found it? I'd never heard of Dick's 5 & 10, but it sounds amazing! :)

Wow- we have a 5 & 10 (Sine's in Quakertown, PA) in our town that looks very much like that, with the model planes and everything. They even have the same baskets! Those old-time stores are the best!
great photo essay. I liked it.
that pic of Dorothy in the grass has got to be the cutest picture ever taken
I'm suddenly overcome with a desire to make the drive out to Branson, just to go to that 5 & 10.
