Snoods are something I could never quite get the hang of. I think because the style needs something dramatic on the crown, like bangs, or victory rolls. Lately I've been growing my bangs out, so a fluffy 40s pouf works best hiding the short curls! I thought I'd try out a snood again with that style, and really liked the results, especially since it keeps all my hair out of my face without having to put it up.
Maybe a good summer style?
You can learn how to so this hairstyle (minus the snood) here.
Anyone have a favorite hairstyle for snoods? I'd love to know!
My favorite. Is a reverse roll on each side and full barrel bangs, leave all my curls loose in the snood so it looks full. ;) I like your pink one too cute
I love snoods, I have so many in diffeent colours and are great in the summer for when I'm being lazy about my hair. I love to dress them up with a flower at the side.
The only time I wore a snood in public I also happened to have a handmade medieval gown on as well, and for that style no mess of curls in the front was necessary!
I agree with you——snoods styled vintage need something eye-catching in the front to counterbalance the weight.
Love it! A couple years ago knit a snood from a vintage pattern floating around on Ravelry and I really love it. I usually wear it with a big faux bang, but your short curls are so cute!
Such a charmingly sweet look! I sport snoods sometimes, generally styling my hair in the front in Betty Grable-esque curls (I don't have bangs), and wrapping a ribbon or small (folded/rolled) scarf around the snood's opening to both help it stay in place and to add an extra dose of girly fun to this classic look).

Great do! I LOVE snoods! I have several with a need to purchase more. I wear them a lot with bumper bangs or a 40s reverse roll do or victory rolls.

I don't have a snood but I think I will try them out! X
The pattern and color of the dress is wonderful and it's such a shame that we can't see all of that beauty :)
I've worn in it quite a few posts, and I'm sure it will be making many appearances in the future!

Arthelia's Attic on Etsy does some beautiful Snoods, all made from vintage 1940's patterns. I own a couple from her, and they are lovely!
I'm quite jealous that it works so well on you! I don't think I could pull it off enough!

Well done with the front of your hair! It looks lovely!
I was about to ask where you bought your dress from.....you made it! Soooo clever! I love it :)
Lovely! I want to see more of this dress too please! :-)
Do you snood in the dark, would you snood in a park? LOL, you are so right.
The fabric that dress is made of is gorgeous.
You have beautiful hair, love the curls!

I think it really suits you! I love your dress too, what a great colour.
Supercute, I love snoods!
Love this Fluffy Betty Grable Hairstyle. I wear it often @ work. But I never combined it with a snood. It look georgeous!!! :)
Does anyone know how to make a snood? I'm always using the small ones from a barber shop.
