Here are a few photos in my collection that I wanted to share of 1940s ladies. I think my favorite are the photos below. The woman on the left looks so modern, and the girl on the right is darling with her dark socks and sandals, and tweed jacket.

I adore old photos!I always treasure finding them at antiques or thrifts.My husband teases me that I have more dead people I don't know displayed on the walls than family photos.
I like the picture of the gal with the soda bottle.

Everyone looks so nice and so fresh :) But beach girl is probably my favorite, she is so happy!
I adore all of them. Yesteryear real world women are a massive source of sartorial inspiration for me (much more than celebs of the day, fabulous as they were), so I adore all of these gals. I think the last photo is my very favourite though, there's something about it that reminds me of my maternal grandma and her friends at the time.
