Thanks to my brother Josh, we got all the big stuff moved in yesterday: Mattress, chair, dresser, and couch. Oh the giant couch.
Most of my clothes are still over at the old house, and all my hats, but I did bring over a box of shoes and a few suitcases of clothes. They are so colorful!

aww, your new header -is- adorable!! :) My mother always told me that when you first move in to a new place, make sure that some of the first items that you bring in is bread so you never go hungry and salt for prosperity! Cute orange shoes...have fun decorating and unpacking in your new home!!

I love that rug! Where is it from?
Sammy, I bought it at Ross years ago, it's like a french poster with a can can girl and a cat :)
I want your suitcases!
I love old suitcases- one of my fave colors is that creamy beige one with that cool cream handle.

I love your collection of beautiful old suitcases.
Love those red wingtips. Would be so cute with your white anklets.
Oooh, I love vintage Samsonite luggage....especially the train cases and never travel without one. I grew up with a set of the blue and white (Yes, I'm THAT old) but have since collected the "crocodile" set. Looks like you have the most wonderful shoes to pack in them too! Thanks for the inspiration and fun!
I saw you status on facebook about the Schiaparelli hat and wanted to comment, but then felt odd because i have need met you. But i wanted to say that my fave Schiaparelli reference is in the book "Sparkling Cyanide" by Agatha Christie and it is fabulous and i think you would love it. I still feel odd commenting on here, i am obviously not a commenter at heart.
Hello Meg, and thanks for commenting!
I really need to read more Agatha Christie, it's just so difficult to know what to read, there's so much she wrote! So this recommendation is highly appreciated, I'll make that my next book purchase ;)
xoxo
Death on the Nile is Fabulous. I also like Sad Cypress and They Came to Baghdad. I have an AC obsession.
