Hobbs is sooooo big! Whenever I pick him up he just flops about, unfazed. He sleeps all day, wakes up every morning between 5 and 7 am, and meows in my face until I get up and show him his food. For some reason he needs me to acknowledge there is food in his bowl. Perhaps he wants us to enjoy breakfast together.
And this pretty much explains how kitty petting goes in our house.

My kitty does that exact same thing! If I'm next to her bowl and she's eating I may not leave until she's finished! Otherwise she'll just meow me back there to watch her be a nice fat kitty.

I used to have a cat that would sit on my chest in the morning and stare at me until I woke up. If I made the mistake of opening my eyes and then trying to go back to sleep, he would swat me on the nose!

BAHAHAH your kitty cracks me up! He is way bigger than baby...hence why we call her baby. Right now she has a sprained tail the poor thing.
actually my sisters cat does the same thing (the food thing) and he keeps running to his bowl to make sure there is food left. Cats are odd.

Oh, my gosh- he sounds -just- like my cat, Hatsumomo. She's about 35 pounds, hops down the stairs like a bunny and yep- meows at me every morning, walking back and forth on my pillow till I get out of bed to show her that she already has food! Drives me crazy but I love her anyway! :)
