McCalls Pattern magazine, spring 1960

Photobucket
My grandma picked this pattern magazine up for me at an estate sale and I've been coveting all the glorious spring fashions. They remind me so much of Nicole, and I love how crisp everything looks. Especially the tiered dress, I see ones like it now but the tiers have drooped, a little starch and patience with an iron can fix that though! I think this spring I will starch and iron my full skirted dresses, they get a little forgotten when it comes to ironing, but I love the way these look. Enjoy!

So pretty! My mother has so many of these types of patterns sitting in a cupboard. I love how these fashions accentuate the female form :-)

My goodness, those full-skirted dresses are gorgeous. I can't imagine wearing something like that everyday, I'd find it hard to get used to how much space I took up!

The dresses are just amazing - but i can't get over how tiny their waists are!! Where are all the internal organs?!

Ohh I love these dresses!!
It's good you're showing fashion pictures from 1960 -a lot of people thinks the 60s was only miniskirts and hippies.
But, before that, it was lovely!
I adore the 4th and 8th dress. Such tiny waists! :D
