Saturday afternoon I met with the Life in a Pink House gang and my mother and stepfather to see my cousin Ruth be a passenger in an itty bitty airplane. It was "Open Cockpit Day" at the Pearson Air Museum, where you could get into the cockpit of vintage airplanes, and even sign up to fly in one. It was a beyond perfect day for it, bright and sunny, but with clouds so pretty they looked unreal.
What a fun day! My friend is riding in a prop place on Thursday, those don't even have an engine!! That just doesn't sound like a good idea to me... hah! Nikki
I just wanted to say what a wonderful job you've done with your blog - ever since my sister first showed me Vixen Vintage, I have checked it every few days to see what has been going on. It has inspired me to make my own blog called 'Life in the Clouds...' at www.lotsofloveruby.blogspot.com.
I have a question... How did you get flights at Pearson? My husband and my friend's husband would loooove to don their WWII gear and go play in a plane.
Oh how fun! I visited an airfield in Selby, outside Manchester, England, in may together with the photographer Emmelie Åslin. We took some amazing pictures, and I really fell in love with the planes! I've never thought about airplanes before, but they're really have the most amazing colours and styles. I was also lucky enough to get a ride with one of them! It was completely crazy and terrifying, but also childishly fun. (I'm dying to share the pictures, but I have to wait a little longer...)
Your day at the airfield looks really nice as well, and you look so sweet!

What an amazing opportunity, I adore vintage airplanes and collect airline items from the 1960s.
You look adorable by the itty plane, did you get to ride in it?
What a fun experience! My dad's a pilot and I've always dreamed of him flying me around someday. Did you fly?
Love it. You are so ridiculously glamourous!
Very pretty! I hope I'm not making myself unpopular, but can I say "Pearl Harbour"? :-)

Woowowwww!!!!
that must have been an awesome experience. Those clouds really do look unreal, like from a painting or something.

I love you outfits! Vintage truly suits you!
That's so cool...but it looks a little scary! I would probably freak out in that tiny cockpit
I am well aware that this was not the subject of the blog post BUT THAT HAT IS AMAZING!!!! It suits you.
