A cemetery blanketed in tiny purple flowers is impossible to resist. Ohio seems to have fantastic old cemeteries, even this little one on the side of a road. Some of the stones were so antique the epitaphs had been completely wiped away with the elements and time.

Outfit details, see this post, photos by Ruth and myself.

How lovely!! Old cemeteries are just so pretty, though it's so bittersweet to see the stones with their epitaphs all worn away time.

Solanah great blog, very interesting. I love how you share pics of your grandmother's radio + your mother mary pic. I'm glad I stumbled across you via pink bow.

I'm really liking your mustard cable card - I just found a huge old ugly cardigan in mustard tweed for $1, and have unravelled it all ready to re-knit into something cute like yours!

Old cemeteries are some of my favorite places to wander through and explore! It's always so neat to read the gravestones. Love your outfit too! :)

I'm not ashamed to say that I'm a taphophile (one who loves all things cemetery)!! I love walking among the stones, thinking of the lives past.

Old graveyards can be so beautiful! But somehow, I always find them a bit sad. Lives long gone, and by now all forgotten. Brings out the nostalgic in me! =)
I love your hair in this post, feels so suitable to the era of the cemetary.

just FYI, the little purple flowers are wild violets. I love them!! the shady parts of my yard are full of them in the spring. Love all of your photos!

What a clever location for a vintage photo shoot. Cemeteries get such a bad rap, but they are really beautiful and peaceful escapes, especially for moments of gratitude.

I just love the places you take photos at. I'm way to shy to walk around with my camera and self-timer outside.

I'm really behind on my blog reading...I can't believe that Ohio looked so springy just a few weeks ago! It's definitely summer now. Where is this one? I'm from NE Ohio and I love all the old cemeteries! They're so interesting.

Colleen, it was just outside of Kent :)
