Day 1 and 2: On the road

Photobucket
Ok, so early Monday morning I set out with my aunt, Uncle, and four cousins on a roadtrip across the midwest United States. We stopped in Pendleton Oregon for a picnic lunch the first day....
Photobucket
...Twin Falls Idaho...
Photobucket
...and stayed overnight in Ogden Utah.
Photobucket
The next day we drove through Wyoming and went to "Little America"...
Photobucket
...where there was a giant stuffed penguin...
Photobucket
...and the old part of the building had the coolest mid century bathroom. Yes boys, we get awesome lounges in our bathrooms...

...and dinosaurs are a must on any American roadtrip.

Later in the day we stopped for lunch at The Wyoming Frontier Prison, which had a pretty cool museum.
Photobucket
And some Pronghorn sightings...

And saw some cool old buildings and signs. Most abandoned.

Before a summer downpour (complete with crazy thunder and lightning!), we stopped in Cheyenne Wyoming...
Photobucket

...where I had the best peach ever...

And tomorrow we'll be on our way again!

maybe it was seeing the dinosaurs below that made me think this, but the picture of the river is so beautiful & look like it could be back in the dinosaur days! I love the other nature pictures & your outfit, such an adorable dress & scarf- you look like you're on a road trip in the 50s in that bathroom. looks like a great time! thanks for sharing!

I was driving through Wyoming once on a choir tour and I remember seeing those dinosaurs on the way. We wanted our director to stop so we could take pictures, but he didn't. It was so sad!

This seems like a fun-filled trip! I love the dinos. I think it's so funny that those are all over the US. They make me think of Pee-Wee's Big Adventure! haha

By the way, thank you so much for your turban tying tutorial! It's so useful. I've been practicing at home so hopefully I manage to make a really nice one for the beach tomorrow...
