The coat
Oh hi, yeah, this is just my coat.
My awesome coat.
I got it at the antique expo last month, and while I searched it inside out five times, the Christian Dior tag seems to be missing. If anyone finds it laying around, let me know.
I wore it Saturday when Sam and I did a little shopping and sushi-ing on NW 23rd. We stopped by Goorin Brothers and I blushed a little when everyone in the store went gaga over it. But then we went to the M.A.C. store and I actually did buy blush, so it all worked out.
{I asked the makeup artist for blush, and she said "this one will make you look like you just stepped in from the cold. Or like Snow White.}
How did she know that's exactly what I wanted?
It's called "Pink Swoon" in case you're wondering.
I even met a blog reader on the street, she was nice enough to say hello and chat for a moment! To be honest, it never really hits me that more people read my blog than my mom and friends until someone I don't know says something in person.
I am oblivious.
But oblivious in a fabulous coat.

Oh that is beautiful - looks as though it was made for you. I think you'll find people all over the world read your blog - that's the wonder of the internet!
oh my GOD this coat is absolutely gorgeous! an amazing find and it fits you like a glove, only coat-wise :)
Wow - that IS a fabulous coat! I've been unsuccessfully looking for one for ages with a full skirt like that, perfect to fit petticoats under! oh well, At least one of us has a fabulous coat :)
We love your blog! :) Don't worry. That is one fabulous coat, the puffiness is so cute and the rusty brown gloves match perfectly!
Oh my goodness! Dior or not, it is luscious – absolute perfection. I must have one in cranberry silk satin immediately. Or maybe a navy wool with a merlot lining . . . or both . . . one for everyday and one for an evening out. Congrats on a fabulous find!
Ohhhhh my god! THAT IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL COAT! Wow. I'm so jealous!
That is indeed a fabulous coat. I'm rather envious right now.
Really, I'm in love with your coat! It's perfect!:D
You're so lovely:))
Have I mentioned I have a huge crush on you, and now your coat? My boyfriend is a little jealous.

It's beautiful!
Looks great worn with the beret as well :)
that is one killer coat!!!! I'm all sorts of jealous of its mega-sexy-hotness. Are those rhinestones in the buttons?
I had a princess coat YEARS ago, 70s wool one with a hood that I adored but my bust got too big for it so i had to sell it. it was sad, sad times...kind of. I've been using new coats since then..they're not nearly as cute though.
Maybe its time I invest in a new (vintage) coat...well maybe next year, when i'm not huge and prego.
Such a great coat, and a perfect fit too! I'm sure the Dior Label will turn up sooner or later.. xx Fran
that coat is heavenly. what a great find!
Wow, I love this coat! Does anyone know where I can find something similar-looking?
That IS an absolutely amazing coat. Love it!
Stunning! Just... Wow! It's perfect for you! Love the skirt, the collar, the fastening... Also, out of curiosity: are the on-seam waistline buttons decorative or functional?
Thats some coat!
Yes, well, as long as you look fabulous, it's all good. And you always look fabulous!
All I need or want in life is a princess coat. You look divine! My philosophy in life is every woman needs to own a great coat with which to throw over anything and look stunning.
I love the way these types of vintage coats accentuate the female form. But, every time I find one dealers charge outrageous prices, which would cost me an arm and a leg to buy one. Alas the wait continues.
That coat is GORGEOUS! What style is that? Love it! You look like a doll in it!! xox

What a darling coat... I would love to try and make one like that. And the blush... beautiful, thanks for the name of it, I'm always for a good blush color.
That's the only blush I wear!
Oh it's beautiful! *swoon*!
The coat is postiveley divine, you look gorgeous, love what the MAC lady said, snow white! x
Coat. Rocks. The. End
It is a swoon inducing blush. The coat is lovely, but it's the perfect fit that makes it even better. And the Dior tag probably is at the dry cleaners...

Oh. My. God. PERFECT coat.
Oh! Those little pink cheeks of yours...xx
Absolutely beautiful! It's always exciting to find a winter coat that still feels feminine and pretty and yours is just perfect. And as another pale-even-in-July girl, I loooove your blush. I've been using a Maybelline mousse blush, but I might have to check out the one you're using... so cute!
This is my favorite time of year. Time to get out all the cool vintage coats! I have a cool fur collar one I got at the Urban Eccentric, a faux fur full length with a big collar, and a brown plaid one that has a great belt. I love your coat!!! So fun to wear with petticoats I bet! :)
I'm so very, very jealous! I'm trying to look for a coat quite similar - so difficult to find!!
Oh, your coat is to-die-for!!
oh my that IS an amazing coat
This is why we love VINTAGE, that is the most perfect coat ever. She really wanted to start a new adventure with you. You look so very beautiful in her. Happiness. V

Oooh!! I gasped when I saw your coat! It is magnificent! I just love how some vintage styles are so timeless. You look modern and vintage all at the same time.
*swoon*
That blog reader was me! It was lovely to meet you in person, Solanah. My sister and I adored your coat; I spotted it a mile away, which is how I recognized you! Maybe our paths will cross again someday, since I have no plans of abandoning my love for vintage. 'Til then...
My goodness! Your coat has made me swoon. It is (along with the entire outfit and yourself) stunning.

That coat is a stunner! :) Isn't it fun meeting blog readers? I've only had one stop me out in public, but it was so neat to know that someone does read all my silly ramblings... ;)
You should've seen my face when I saw your picture!!! my jaw was like OOOHHHHHH!!! THAT is a beautiful, hermosisisimo coat!!!
Absolutely gorgeous!
You look like Little Red Riding Hood to me, albeit in a black coat. :) Your coat seems to bring me back in the early days. Its elegance and classiness is a sure head-turner. I wouldn't wonder if people went gaga seeing it because it really is fabulous.
