Day at the beach

Being September and all I figured I would not need my beautiful vintage swimsuit on the normally cold and windy northwest coast. So imagine my surprise when we (Sam's family and I) got there and the weather was perfect. We all had to go find a store and buy beach clothes so we could enjoy it, and in the midst of sweaters and coats I found this blouse and "high waisted" pants. Kind of beach pajama-ish don't you think? Anyway, it was on sale from $170 to $22. Don't you dare say you know what.

We had such a delightful time didn't we? I'm so glad you took photos. I didn't pull out my camera the entire time!

Oh My are those pants sweet, they look perfect on you! Nicely done! If you hadn't forgot your beach clothes maybe you would not have found the perfect trousers. It was meant to be! :)

Wooow! great finds! I firstly assumed they were vintage, they have this '40s vibe... You're so lucky to be able to go to the beach so often!! I would have loved to see the sea again because the weather is really summery, but alas I can't afford a 13h long train ride... Oh,and frugalista/recessionista are such awful awful words! Though I think "is your hair real?/is that a wig?" are worse :P

Those trousers are to die for!

I have a work trip coming up with a no dresses/skirts code. If I had a pair like that I wouldn't be dreading it :-)

That outfit is sooo cute. How nice for the weather to have been absolutely lovely. The outfit looks planned, and not like a "Whoops! Nothing appropriate to wear!"

I feel like such a dolt. I just realized you're in WA... like me! That kinda makes me feel a little giddy.

hi, solanah! this is only my second comment, I believe, but I'm an avid reader of your blog, and I just wanted to share with you a purchase of mine that you inspired me to get! I got this for 3 dollars at a thrift store today and I'm really super excited about it. (: hehe

Your outfit is so adorable! Congrats on the find. I never would have guessed that outfit wasn't planned ahead - it really looks very old-fashioned, especially with the sepia photos. So cute! :)
