Right when I walked outside with my camera this morning there was an amazing dense fog in the ally, but of course it was nearly completely gone by the time I set up. None the less, here are some outfit pictures with my fancy new camera, in one of my favorite dresses. I adore knit and crocheted dresses, they are so comfy. If I had the skill and patience I'd attempt making one myself,
these are sooooo cute!
So tomorrow (Thursday) I'm going to take after the
Pushing Daisies darlings and attempt a pear pie with gruyere crust. If anyone has a recipe for pear pie, send it my way!

that dress is so cute and you look super saucy in it
A friend gave me this recipe. She makes it with a pie crust base. Totally yummy! Make sure the pears are really ripe.
Ingredients:
* 2 tablespoons butter, melted
* 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
* 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, divided
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1 can (12 fl. oz.) NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
* 3 large eggs
* 1 ripe pear, cored and thinly sliced
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions:
PREHEAT oven to 450º F.
POUR melted butter into 9-inch deep-dish pie plate or cake pan. Swirl to coat bottom and sides of plate.
COMBINE flour, 1/4 cup sugar and salt in medium bowl. Whisk evaporated milk and eggs in another medium bowl until blended. Add to flour mixture; whisk for 30 seconds or until smooth. Pour batter into prepared pie plate. Arrange pear slices on top of batter in pinwheel design, pushing down slightly. Combine remaining 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon in small bowl. Sprinkle top with sugar mixture.
BAKE for 15 to 20 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Serve warm.
BTW, I LOVE your dress. I have always wanted a knit dress.
love the dress/color combo
Your new camera is amazing!
I love seeing this dress every time you wear it. It's gorgeous.
Your dress is so cute! Love the knit sailor collar! Yum hope your pear pie turns out well! I wish I could make pie...I only eat it.
oohh the dress is so beautiful! i'm a bit envy.
i whish that they could publish a book with all the pie-recipes from "Pushing Daisies"
Blua and creme are hard to beat! Those collours in a knitted dress must be something of the lovilest in the world :D
Know this may sound strange but your bust looks amazing and super vintage, do you wear vintage underwear?
Thanks, Moll
Gorgeous, gorogeous dress!! Aren't those vintage knit dresses the most amazing things ever? I have been seriously coveting one for a while now. lol. Like you, I lack the patience to even think of trying my hand at making one. By the time I'm done with a sweater, I've had my fill of that particular project--I can't imagine what it would be like with a dress! lol.
Good luck with your pie making! :) I made my first ever, completely from scratch pie over Christmas. Needs a few tweaks going forward, but the process as fun! :)
