Photos by Twila Jean
Sometimes I might have too much fun at work. When Twila Jean and her kidlets visit, we play in the dress up box, gawk at new merchandise, and take lots of pictures. That particular day I wore one of my favorite 50s dresses, it's one of those you see online that are always absurdly expensive, but I think I got it for...$24? Maybe less, either way, it was a steal. And I just got this belt and couldn't wait to wear it, though I think it would look better with something with a nice drape and flow.
Those last three pictures capture batman (Margaux) defeating the bad guy (me). Hehehe.

Oh dear, what a beautiful dress! Love it! and your bracelet too...
Both the dress and the belt are exquisite and look so good on you!
I love the underbust detail on the dress, gorgeous! And the belt caught my eyes at once, so pretty and unique.

Pretty dress! What kind of fabric is it?
That belt is gorgeous! And $24 for the dress?! Steal indeed! The neckline is so beautiful; plus it's plaid which makes it even better in my not-so-humble opinion! ;)

The belt is AWESOME. Serious find, so nice to wear something other than the high street. You are so lucky in your job, imagine all the poor souls that dread the alarm in the morning.

Your outfit looks so sweet. I love how you are always the perfect depiction of vintage beauty!
That dress is lovely, and I agree with Casey that the plaid makes it extra-special. Wonderful accessories, too!
Ouch < just had a pang of shoe envy!
Haha! I love these! That belt is great, as is the dress :o)
I can tell by those pix.. you will be a great mom! I love little M's boots as they look exactly like the one's my little O had at that age.. now my O just turned 8.. time flies.. you look beautiful as always.
I love all your clothes, but I think this might be the prettiest dress yet. It fits you so well. Lovely!

How lucky to have found gloves that match your dress perfectly!
Your job is so awesome!!
Hi! I've been a long time follower of your blog and I just thought: hey! I should let her know how much I love reading! So, yes, I do, very much so! Infact, you inspired me to wear hats and write my own blog. Just wanted to say your fashion sense is amazing, but more importantly, your blog makes a huge difference to my life (and I'm sure many others!) Keep writing please! :D
Great pictures, post, dress...great everything! Love it! Now let me guess you are the baddy because you are vintage fur loving and also you don't like to see pj's in public...well I am with you on those so we will both have to be the bad guys then. I am sure that when Margaux (I hope I spelled her name right - tell Twila sorry if I did not) grows up she will be on our side (heck I think she is on our side now) but you do have to have a reason for being bad for our little friend Batman to be there to come and get ya, right?!
the gloves are my favorite part of the outfit!

That belt is the most awesome I've ever seen. I really love the contrast between the copper, cold metal and the soft blue fabric.
I cant even begin to tell you how in love with that dress i am.. or THAT belt! Yikes! CAnt believe the dress was only 24... win!
Love the arrow bracelet! Is it Coro? I have earrings that would match it.
This dress is darling! I love it, completely reminds me of the Peggy Olsen character on Madmen. Well done!
