Day in Pictures {1-5-12}

Made hair appointment at the salon that looks like it hasn't changed since the 60s. Beautician has equally fantastic hair.

Not just any saddle shoes, but deadstock brown and cream saddle shoes. That fit. They're that quality of shoes that have to be worn in, pretty amazing. Found at Cats Pajamas.

New food obsession: Quinoa.

Mending. Pic of my great grandmother Lois and I taking a nap, tucked in my sewing case.

Walk to grandmas in my new shoes.

Chucks Produce with grandma and the Pink House girls.

Dinner and gelato there. In a sea of busy chain restaurants, you can get a delicious, healthy, and affordable dinner at this market.

It's great that you can walk to your grandmother's house (and in those amazing shoes!). The market food also looks delicious and I'm curious what kind of cut/style you got at the beauty shop.

I have a pair of Saddle Shoes almost identical! They're really rather gorgeous, and how are you going to get your hair cut?

What is this Cat's Pajamas? Do they have more saddle shoes? I had a pair when I was a kid and I've been scheming for more.

Annie, it's an antique store, but for saddle shoes, try muffys, they're in Oregon, and have a great online selection.

Paige, I'd love some! all I've been doing is mixing it with grilled veggies and such, and today put it in breakfast tacos ;)

I've seen Chucks, but haven't been. Went to the toy store down the way instead! :-)

Definitely going to have to spend time at Chucks sometime.
