We left Oklahoma on Tuesday and have made a few fun stops along the way to California. On our way out of Oklahoma we went to The Round Barn on rout 66. It's full of history, and a little antique shopping ;)
We passed through Amarillo Texas, and lunch at The Big Texan was a must! It's such a tourist trap, which I love, I go snap happy. They're famous for their 72 oz steaks, if you eat the whole thing in under 1hour, it's free!
I didn't attempt that challenge.
We did a little shopping, a little sight seeing, and oh so much eating. Oh so much.
Stay tuned for some amazing hotel signs (sick of them yet? Too bad), and The Grand Canyon!
Both of your outfits are terrific! So sweet, country appropriate, and comfortable looking (always a boon while on the road). Thanks for sharing this terrific selection of getaway snaps with us this week.
Love your outfit! I have got to convince the husband to take a serious roadtrip one of these days (that doesn't involve moving. lol.)... It looks like too much fun!
Road trip! My friend and I drove parts of US-66 through Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico, and it was fabulous. There are some amazing treasures along that route. One of my favorites was the U-Drop-Inn and Conoco Station in Shamrock TX. What a beautiful old art deco gas station and cafe. I wish it were still open. Here's one of my photos of it.
