Pretty pinafore

I've wanted a 1940s pinafore dress for ages, but I'm too cheap to buy a repro, and all the patterns I find are super extra small. So I was very, very excited to find this darling dress in beautiful cream and baby blue, that fits perfectly! It was handmade, with pretty buttons all the way up the back, and hand finished buttonholes. One of my new favorites :)

Thank you Twila Jean for taking the pictures!

I have almost the exact same dress! It looks exactly the same except a different fabric (mine is a green gingham). The cream and baby blue on yours is quite lovely :)

Oh I love that! I grew up watching/reading Anne of Green Gables and have always loved those old style fashions. Plus, that blue and white stripe is one of my all time favorite looks! It looks darling with that fabulous hat also!

Thanks so much for the lovely inspiration!

Super cute dress, and it looks adorable on you. I also love the hat with it - it's not an obvious combination, but it definitely works.

And good work Twila on the photos! I've been training up my beloved to take my pictures - it's taken a while, but he's getting there now :)
