A few weeks ago the kind folks at Shabby Apple, contacted me and asked if I wanted a dress from one of their fabulously themed collections.

Yes please!

I picked this dress, because stripes are just irresistible! The navy blue sash is attached, and ties in the back. I really should wear sashes more, the bow that ties in the back is so feminine. I was really happy that the dress fits perfectly, it's one of their frocks that "fits generously" (as they put it), so I ordered an extra small, when I'm usually a medium. AND it's lined! So thank you very much Shabby Apple I am very happy with my new dress!

Dear Vixen, I write this comment from the island continent of Australia to let you know how I adore your sartorial brilliance. You have been greatly influential, though I am yet to achieve the dedication that you so effortlessly embody to vintage attire. (I feel part of the problem is an unruly mane of thick hair that bucks against styling. Your hair is lovely.) In short (though this comment is rather long), thank you for an excellent blog. I particularly enjoy your baking posts, as you look more well turned-out than is reasonable for one slaving over butter and sugar. Excellent work. Five gold stars. You provide a freelance broad chained to her desk with much joy and procrastination.

Oh how lovely! Lucky you - they contacted me to ask if I wanted to join their affiliate scheme! I just don't have time for those shenanigans. If they'd offered me a dress, I'd have said 'heck yes please'! Looks lovely xx

Haha, Bridget, I do love to eat! But I love to eat good, homemade food, lots of produce and homemade bread :) I think it makes a difference in a persons health and overall figure.

Margot, thank you for your kind words!
