Grand Canyon

Photobucket

Um, whaaaaaat? I went to The Grand Canyon. I'm pretty sure it's not real, just a huge movie backdrop. Too amazing to be real.

And not only that, there I am sitting on a rock on the edge of The Grand Canyon. I am quite the dare devil. What's next? Riding a ferris wheel?

No. Those things are insane.

I bought this blouse two years ago at an antique expo. It immediately struck me as a Grand Canyon blouse.

Why?

I don't know. It just did.

I've tried to wear it since I bought it, but every time I try, it just doesn't feel right. So I saved it for the Grand Canyon. And it was very happy to be there. Who knows, maybe it's previous owner wore it there too.

Apart from being amazed at the canyon, and camera stalking stylish Japanese tourists, I found a new big kitty friend. We hung out for a while, it was fun. Then a squirrel tried to climb in my purse, what a funny little guy! He was uninterested after realizing I had no food.

So yeah. Grand Canyon. Cool right?

It is a fab Grand Canyon blouse for sure. Plus I am in love with your mocs. I've been wanting a pair, but wasn't sure about the style until I saw yours.

The Grand Canyon is surreal for sure. I thought the same thing when I visited there, totally looks like a backdrop! The last photo of you is superb!

that view is unbelievable! the first photo looks like a vintage postcard. absolutely out of this world. can I ask, how do you achieve your flawless composure and poise in every photo?

Are those jackalopes on your top!?!? Because if so, I may have to kill you for it.

Again, top pic looks like a beautiful postcard. I have dress that is a zoo dress. It has leopards on it, so that is part of the reason why it's for the zoo, but also it just feels like that is the most appropriate place for it.

I love that you saved a blouse just to wear to the Grand Canyon. I sometimes buy pieces, too, and hold onto them for months (or longer), knowing that I want to christen them in a specific location.

Wishing you a joyful weekend, dear gal!

It's so fun to watch your road trip! My family and I just about literally did the same trek a couple of years ago--- started from our home in Oklahoma and went to Arizona. We stopped in Williams, AZ for the night (near Prescot) and my daughter got out and smelled those pines and said "it smells like CHristmas!" Then off to the grand canyon the next day. It is unreal....can you imagine those first settlers who stumbled upon it? It must have blown their minds!

Indded, the perfect top for that place

Oooh, I love how you talk about your shirt being happy to be at the Grand Canyon! I buy clothes all the time that take me months, or maybe even years, to actually wear.

I bet she DID wear it to the Grand Canyon! <3
