1940s Sunday

I know the second photo has me totally out of focus, but the timer went off just as I saw Sam walking out the door offering to help me. So here's how I look whenever I see him :)

Last night I went through my jewelry collection and got rid of a bunch of stuff I've never worn, or never will again, and put all the pieces I want to regularly wear in one easily accessible place. Hopefully this will drive me to wear jewelry more since I love what I have but never think to incorporate it into everyday outfits! Which is just silly to have something and not use it.

I'm originally from north county San Diego and I love Encinitas,so many fun shops!I know I've said it before but I adore your bakelite birdie.I have a ton of vintage costume jewelry I could probably part with since I don't wear it enough but I can't bring myself to do it.

I adore this outfit. I stumbled across your blog a few weeks ago (maybe even last week) and read it from newest all the way back to the beginning. You've inspired me to break out some of my knee-length skirts and embrace my curves! You are beautiful and your outfits amazing!

Funnily enough, I was just doing an inventory of my jewellery yesterday, because I'm also trying to incorporate more jewellery into my outfits! You look lovely as usual xx

Great pictures! I am the same way about jewelry. You should convert that 2nd photo to B&W. I think it would look just like a vintage photo!Love it!

oh how lovely. as per your last post about changing your outfit, this post is making me reconsider my bell bottomed 70s look and going for an earlier, flirtier outfit.

Of course, Betty wasn't part of the purge!

I still have a lot of ridiculous teenager jewelry, but I can't bring myself to toss it.

Very cute outfit. I love when you where the military hats. Makes me think you are a born again WAC. :)
I adore them also and try to pick them up whenever I find them. Somehow they are timeless. I hope you will give us a glimpse of your accesible jewelry. I have loads of jewelry but never know how to store it so I can pick it out quickly for outfits! Maybe you can inspire us unorganized folks!

This might sound like a weird question, but do you wear a girdle/cincher on a regular basis?

Solanah said...

Miss_Tami_Lee, no, although I do feel the need for a bit of a girdle sometimes ;)

You are crazy, you don't need one! I was just wondering since you have such a small waist :)

I could probably part with since I don't wear it enough but I can't bring myself to do it.
