Color theory

Even if I am too tired, or it's too late in the night to do a full head of pincurls, I at least do three or four upright pincurls at the front. The rest of my hair can go up in a turban for a 40s look, or high ponytail for a 50s look. Not having bangs anymore, I look a bit funny without some sort of coiffure, and doing just those few curls can make it look like I spent the whole morning on my hair, when really I spent about one minute.

I'll do a little tutorial soon on how I do my hair specifically, many of you have been inquiring about it! It's really very simple, if you've never done pincurls before, this video is a good start.

Also, the jacket is part of a set of mink coats my grandmother got me for my birthday, this is the first time I've worn the jacket, but I've been wearing the coat non-stop for weeks. No matter how cold, I stay toasty warm! I absolutely love them, they came from the estate of a woman who once worked for Meier and Frank, and bought them there. They're even monogrammed on the inside!

I love that dress! And the gloves! And the hair...I love Strawberry Koi's hair tutorials even though I seem to fail every single time at them.

Looking forward to seeing a tutorial from you in the future.

LOVE the coat, what a lucky find! Don't you love hair styles that cheat? My hair was dirty the other day, but I had shopping to do! So a faux bang and scarf went on. Slap on some red lipstick and even though I felt a bit grungy, I got a ton of complements. I really like the bright scarf next to your face as well, all the colors pop with your hair.

will you do a turban tutorial as well? i've watched the one you linked to one million times and i still can't get the bow turban right!

Love all these colors together. The blue gloves - I'm actually kindof obsessed with that shade of blue all of a sudden. Seems like I keep seeing it pop up in the most random places.

Lovely coat - and I adore your golves. Awesome colour. Until now I thought baby blue (suede)would be on top of the list besides frog green - but this almost purpleish blue is fanastic!

I love everything! The fur looks delicious! I never thought of just doing curling the front bit. I think I may have to steal that idea. ;)
