Take a picture it'll last longer

 photo 1-5_zpsab387226.jpg

It's that tricky time of year where the sun makes an appearance and it feels like summer is well on it's way.

Hahaha! No.

It'll be gone before you know it, but all the more reason to go out and enjoy it!

Yes, pale PNW gams! Mine look exactly the same, though I wish I had that dress to wear as well.

Today I wanted to photograph the blooming trees - every time the camera was ready, the sun was gone.

Stunning. No other word for it!

Ah yes, the weather is like that in England too. Sadly a little too breezy still for summer dresses and bare legs (not that that stops me from trying).

I love how the buttons go down the front in the top half and down the back in the bottom half of the dress.

Hey Solanah! Gorgeous as always :)

I'd really be interested in knowing what setting pattern you use for your hair now that it's quite a bit shorter than your previous pin curl posts. Mine has just been cut into the midi-plus length, and I'm still trying to find a great set. Yours looks so lovely, I'd love to be able to try the pattern that you use.

I adore the blog! Thanks for being such an inspiration <3

Don't trust the sun. His love is all too fickle. Hey, I live in WA and love vintage and murder mysteries too! Do you love Miss Marple on PBS?
I just started a sewing blog as I am teaching myself to sew: http://sewsewvintage.blogspot.com

and am mainly focused on sewing vintage styles, so you may be interested!

Loving this look, the photography is beautiful. Transitional seasons can be so hard to dress for, I'm wearing lots of layers today, but the forecast for tomorrow is definitely summer frock weather.

Beautiful dress! The sun is shining here as well right now, but there will be rain again on the weekend, April is cruel... (-:

So very true! It always kills me (figuratively speaking) when we get a gorgeous sunny day and I'm not feeling well enough to get out and both enjoy it and make use of the glorious light for taking photos. Looks like you had some top grade sunshine on the day you took these beautiful snaps. Here's to hoping we both get oodles of sunshine on the Pacific side of the world this year.

Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful vintage dress. You are lucky! And you look absolutely lovely. Same here, the weather today was around the 80s and we were sweating bullets while hiking. NOw, the weather is back to being cold.
