I just finished my first project of the season, a gray cable cardigan based off the same pattern as my mustard one. You can find it here, you just have to scroll to the very end, it's titled "A new Design in Cable Stitch". For those interested I used Knitpicks palette yarn in "ash".
The first time I made it I shortened the waist and sleeves, this time I lengthened them. I have yet to stay true to the original pattern, but both times I've really liked working with it, I'm sure I'll make more in other colors.
I added black plastic 40s buttons that were my great grandmothers, they were the only ones I had matched nine times over, and they happened to be perfect.
Timelessly beautiful, cozy, comfortingly lovely creation. The fact that you had nine of your great-grandma's buttons to use on it just makes it even more of a special work of knit art.
stunning! I love knitting but not yet mastered cables. However, we are moving soon and within 5 mins walk of the new house there is a KNIT CLUB. That's not the reason we bought it...not really...Sxx
Wow, I still can't get over your knitting skills. I wish I could make something this beautiful. Even more special that you used buttons from your grandmother. I'm sure if you have children and grandchildren, they will treasure this cardigan too!
I love it! What a beautiful, understated color too. It's one of those colors I always *need* a sweater in but haven't yet knit one, but you're inspiring me to rethink that. Really looks like you could wear your cardi with just about anything. Gorgeously styled as well (as always)! :)
Your mustard cardigan and hat set inspired me to take up knitting again, and to actually consider making a jumper or cardigan of my own. This grey cardigan is truly stunning, and the dress complements it beautifully.
This makes me want to learn how to sew (although I imagine it would take me quite some time to start making things for sweater weather that aren't scarves).

I love it! I wish I had the patience to knit a full cardigan, I always get halfway and loose interest.

I really need to learn to knit, because this is the most perfect cardigan ever!
Dang girl, you need to teach me your ways. I have always wanted to knit but have been so intimidated!
Lovely cardigan, but how did you size the pattern?
