Seamed stockings

Last week I ordered a box of seamed stockings from Weirdee Girl Vintage, three pairs! I was pretty excited since the only pair of seamed I have are the ones I wore when I got married, from Fab Gabs. I love them, but save them for special occasions as they were, well, special.
When I opened the box I almost couldn't bring myself to slip the stockings out of the tissue paper (I didn't dare rip off the tape, so I carefully slipped them out). Don't you love the gold ribbon around them? It took me a bit to realize they were stockings fluttering in the breeze.
As much as I want to wear them right away I'll need to find a good garter belt, which may have to wait for the lovely tax return since I have my eye on this one. But maybe I can find one at a vintage store before then ;)

I have that garter belt and it is most excellent. I actually wore it last night with a pair of what katies did seamed stockings (which are beyond lovely).

Those stockings are so lovely. I like it when you find then with the packaging intact!

I haven't wore a pair of stockings since my wedding....I don't even think they were seamed...I had 4 of 5 pairs in highschool that I used to wear whenever...little did I know that they were a precious gift from a (now lost) friend. I still have a few pairs but don't have the legs to wear them anymore. I had my mom's garter belt from her wedding but I lost it somewhere along my journey...I'm really kicking myself for that one. And for giving up my embroidered 50's girdle..my first ebay sale and it only went for $17...the thing was mint...GAH If I could only find one like it...luckily I still have one picture of it. anyway..wow trip down memory lane there. Wonderful find, I know you'll wear them well.

I don't have any vintage seamed stockings, but I do have a few pairs och WKD-stockings. I'd love a pair of real vintage one's, it's very high on the wish-list =) The Harlow suspender belt is just gorgeous!
Have fun in your new stockings!

Seamed stockings are so luxurious! I have a pair from Tuppence Ha'Penny and I -love- them! I've been eyeing that garter from what katie did too! If you pick one up, please let us all know how it is!

I love the feeling of non-stretch nylon! I don't care if they're seamed or not, I just love my stockings to hold me tight in all the right places!

I loooove seamed stockings! (funnily enough, I have some Berkshires too, in a box exactly like that!) I also love the secret feeling of knowing you're wearing a garter belt and stockings.

I have many pairs of nylons but I've never yet found any dead stock seamed ones. But I do have that garter belt from WKD, it's fantastic, definitely worth the cost and will keep your stockings in place and it only took a week and a half to arrive in my mail box in the other Vancouver.
