Our living room

Last night I spontaneously decided to rearrange our living room, which isn't a huge change since our living room is tiny. But I managed to change it up a bit, and like it a lot better now. For a side table I stacked vintage suitcases, and instead of cluttering up the coffee table with Martha Stewart magazines, I stacked them against the wall under my sewing basket. Oh and incase you're wondering what that pink cone is, it's our handheld vacuum. Because all my vacuums have to be cute.

I love it! The green suitcases are awesome. And is that The Languages of Middle Earth on the shelf behind the Martha Stewart magazines?

Adorable!! Love all the painterly touches on the pillows and the art, of course! Kudos on your pretty vacuum! We have a huge ungainly shopvac. But hey-- whatever works!

It looks lovely, but I swear if that was me it'd get disarranged so quickly it wouldn't be worth doing in the first place! -__-'

Please tell me that there are 2 portraits of you and Sam in that first photo. That has to be the cutest thing in the world! Who painted them? My brother and sis-in-law might just need that!

Sweet! Not having control over the home decor is pretty much the only downside of living in a shared house. Although I'm slowly but surely retro-fying the house - starting with the vintage enamel breadbin I've installed in the kitchen. Might bring home a telephone table from the car boot sale next time... :)

Love the Andy Warhol book and all the Italian books! I learned Italian when I was living there, and I'm always scouting around bookstores looking for books in Italian so I can work on my translation. :-)

How darling! I love your living room and the way you have things stacked and artfully arranged; it reminds me of how I tend to decorate (being a habitual collector of all sorts of things--gotta make it work somehow! ;). Thanks for sharing a little peek into your home!
