1940s boudoir slippers

Photobucket

Yesterday after photoshoot with Fab Gabs we did a little thrifting at Goodwill. I never expect much there, at least vintage wise, it's get's bought up pretty quickly in this area. But, browsing the shoes I spotted a little bit of creamy satin peeking out underneath a pile of shoes. I dug them out and squeals were abundant.

I've always wanted satin boudoir slippers, they're just so glamorous! And these ruffles really take the cake. 1940s satin slippers, by Daniel Green. Still in business, but the slippers really aren't the same. I'm so excited to have found them, in good condition, and they actually fit me!

And the price? $6.99.

The thrift gods were with me that day.

Oh lucky duck!I've only found one pair, they were with a tulle bow and turquoise.Sadly they weren't my size so they went in the shop and sold really quick to some size 8 gal.

Oh my gosh!!!! I've been on the hunt for a pair of these, and have come close, but nothing in my size yet. ;) They are a gorgeous find, and give me hope that maybe one day I'll find a pair at the thrift store. ;)

I love a good goodwill find. I find all sorts of vintage insp goodies. A 60's inps coat, boots, dresses, etc...and my mom even bought me a fox fur stole off the the goodwill auction site. I can't afford most vintage, therefore I goodwill. :)

Those shoes are gorgeous!!! I've come across some great finds now and then, but nothing close to my size. Maybe your luck will rub off on me and I'll find something like those in my size soon!
