Today my grandma and I had tea for the first time at The Grant House. It was lovely, the service itself was nice, and the atmosphere refreshing. I've searched for places that hold regular tea service, and just happened to stumble across a place right in town. Perfect!

I wore one of my favorite outfits for the first time, a 40s rayon dress with matching hat! Which you might remember from this post

I found the hat first, then a reader contacted me saying they had the matching dress if I wanted to buy it! Couldn't pass that up. I just know there's more matching accessories out there!

I hope you all enjoy your weekend. Make sure to visit every day next week, because I have a whole week of giveaways lined up! Don't want to miss out on that!

xoxo

I think I'm psychic when it comes to a post of yours - almost every time I log in to Blogger you've posted something a few minutes before!
Either way, that is an absolutely gorgeous dress and hat! I love it when I find matching items to something I already own!

WOW. That outfit is beautiful! I have a similar dress with a pink and navy skirt lining, now I'm curious if IT came with a matching hat, scarf and cuffs!

Oh it's very cute that you went for tea with your Grandma. Your hat is amazing. I don't know about you but sometimes my Nana nearly cries when I'm wearing things from 'her era' as she calls it. She'll say 'I had a dress just like that one! I knew these fashions would come back round again!'
P.S. I followed your pin curl tutorial. So good! My curls lasted for three whole days with minimal upkeep! (normally they fall out in about an hour) x

That ensemble is gorgeous--I just love that the hat and dress found their way back to each other through the magic of the internet! :) I really love the flash of stripes on the skirt--really fun!

My mom and I almost always go to tea when she visits, and it's one of my favorite "treats". I was lucky enough to find a good tea room shortly after we moved back to VA--I think I'd be devastated if I didn't have one where I lived. ;) lol. (Or my teacup collection would balloon so I could host teas!)

That dress is all kinds of perfect, the slit on the side that reveals the striped print? Yeeeeeaaaah.

What a fantastic outfit and so neat how it became re-united with it's hat. I wish it could talk and let us know what other lovely places it has been before it went to tea with your Grandma!
