Flowers everywhere

{Photos by Ruth}

This weekend we celebrated my grandma and mothers birthday by having lunch out in the beautiful 80 degree weather.

Perfect time to bring out this beauty of a dress. One in every color please.

It feels like some sort of rayon, so I'm cautious about wearing it. How great it would be to find a sewing pattern for the same cut, so I could make a bunch of them in cotton!

Hope you all had a nice weekend. I spent it away from my computer, shopping, knitting, and watching What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? with my grandma. She's the best person to watch old movies with because she'll tell you all the celebrity gossip from 60 years ago.

I love the Flower Girl! Even without the flowers in your hair. ; D

The bust detail on this dress is so flatterning and I can't believe how bright the flowers still are! Someone must have really loved this dress, it's easy to see why.

The cut of the dress is gorgeous, definently keep your eye out for a pattern to whip up a few in different colours. xx Fran

Vintage floral covered frocks are a die hard favourite of mine (more of them all seem to magically appear in my closet each summer...I wonder how ;D), so you can imagine how much I adore this vibrant, gorgeous look!

Wishing you a marvelous Monday & week ahead,
Jessica

And also, I love the movie "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?" So creepy and intriguing! "I've written a letter to daddy....."

Such a lovely dress! The shawl collar is so elegant, and I love how the angle of the pleats follows the collar. Hmm, maybe I need to make a pattern based on it... It's def going into my inspiration sketch book =)
Sounds like you had a great weekend!

This is so gorgeous! I love your hair - how did you get it like that? I use hot rollers, but can never quite get as vintage-looking hair as yours.
