Titanic Tea

Photobucket

The Titanic tea was a wondrous success, I'm so glad so many people got together, and on such a perfectly sunny day too!

We gathered at The Grant House in Vancouver Washington, a sea of feathers and silks, and had tea, treats, and since we had the entire house to ourselves, explored a little here and there. Out on the lawn many a photo op was made, thanks to the beautiful weather and in bloom tulip tree in the yard.

Everyone looked so wonderful, and the costumes were just amazing! We even had three gentlemen to add some dapper style to all us ladies dresses and hats.

A few of the attendees you may recognize are: Nichole of Life in a Pink House (and her family), Janey of Atomic Redhead, Amanda of Girl in pink, Marjorie Mink of Reviving Vintage, Julie of Fab Gabs, and Rhiannon of Garb-Oh Vintage

For those who attended, thank you so much, I will be posting when the photos Lisa took are ready for you, so stay tuned!

For everyone else, I hope you enjoy these photos!

I am insanely jealous that I couldn't go and that I live so darn far away...sigh. It looks like a dream come true. :-)

I think my heart skipped a beat when I looked through your photos. It is the feathers. Every time it is the feathers that get me!! You all look wonderful, with such incredible detailing. I bet it was fabulous.

The hats! The cherry blossoms! Your brother's fabulous beard! *swoons with desire (for the beard, not the brother, though I'm sure he's nice too)

I love this post - what a fantastic day out. I just adore when everyone makes an effort. Look at the little kids, they are cute as buttons. What a kick, I don't see little kids dressed up in vintage very often.

What a wonderfully elegant Titanic soiree. I've scrolled through these photos from top to bottom at least four times, because I just can't get enough of the Edwardian era (or at least "Edwardian appropriate", as the case may be) fashions everyone turned out in. Thank you very much for taking us to this party with you, it was thoroughly enjoyable.

Oodles of hugs,
♥ Jessica

I'm very into all of this vintage stuff and am so excited to see posts like these! It makes me very inspired and I wish I had the extra time and money to put into collecting vintage pieces. Maybe someday!

P.S. I have that "Dear America" book, "Voyage on the Great Titanic". I bought it when I was a kid and have held onto it. :)

I am so ridiculously beyond jealous. The Titanic Tragedy is my history fetish. I followed a set of real-time tweets all day on the anniversary. I am just...Jealous.
