How novel

 photo 5-2_zpsb26b4052.jpg
This weekend my grandma picked this skirt up for me at an estate sale for 50 cents, and after hemming it up a few inches, starching it, and adding a petticoat, it's good as new! I think the print is cellos, feathers, clocks, and leaves...

Oh novelty prints. The more random the better.

Doffing my hat to your grandma - big time. Fifty cents for this skirt has to be one of the best estate sale finds anywhere in recent years.

The skirt looks fantastic on you, and I love that opted to partner it with classic black. It's hard to beat that colour combo, and coincidentally, it's one I've been wearing often myself as well (there's just something about winter and red + black that go hand-in-hand in my books).
