Saturday Sam and I went out to The Ringside Fish House for dinner and I took my new Wheels and Dollbaby dress out for a test drive. Every waitress came over to our table and asked about it!
The food was yummy (I tried mussels for the first time, delicious!), and I really liked the warm atmosphere. A great sophisticated date night spot!
Afterward we went to The Ace Hotel and took some pics in the photobooth. Sam has his usual photobooth expression.
Silly Sam.

Saturday Sam and I went to Petco for some kitty litter, and walked out with a kitty as well.
As we were leaving I wanted to see the shelter kitties up for adoption they have, and this kitty looked at me, meowed the sweetest little squeaky meow, and looked really sad.
I had no choice. She had to come home with us.
So we spent some time with her in the little adoption room, drove her home, and completely confused Hobbes as to why his reflection in the mirror came to life.
The only way we can tell them apart is that she's a little smaller, and has a pink sparkly collar. Otherwise, they may as well be twins.
I named her after Coco Chanel, but keep saying "You go Glen Coco!"
Coco and Hobbes are still getting used to eachother, they keep kissing, but generally just sleep and are cute.
And that's why you don't ever let me go to Petco.
Oh hi. Yeah.
Just a 1940s Flamenco dress.
Y'know. Another day in the life.
I found this beauty at an antique store this week, and fell in love with the wrinkly old cotton frock. I bought it without trying it on, the shape was a little lackluster on a hanger, but as soon as I put it on, I reeeeealy didn't want to take it off. But I ironed out the endless wrinkled ruffles, and then realized the base is just one big ruffled circle skirt, so I tried a petticoat. Then another. Then hey, why not? Another.
I pinned them to my girdle for that fishtail look, and it worked out pretty well!
I wore it to my mothers fabulous Italian party, and while Flamenco dance is Spanish, the colors match up with the Italian flag, sooooo, it works out alright.
I've always wanted a Flamenco dress, I remember watching a festival on tv when I was a little girl and being completely enchanted by the mountains of ruffles.
I'm just gonna go ahead and wear this all the time.
