Astoria

Photobucket

We went out to Astoria to celebrate our anniversary, my brother has a house out there, and the coast really isn't that far away! Having grown up here with the mountains, snow, rivers, desert, forest, and ocean just a drive away, I forget how cool it is all this is always within reach.

Saturday we went to a WWII encampment, but more on that later. The rest of the time we just hung out, shopped a little, went to The Flavel House, and got beat at munchkin by my nine year old nephew.

Top photo: Blouse by Jitterbuggin, Pants handmade by me.

Searsucker dress and cardigan: Handmade by me

Blue knit dress: Antique shop

Being an East Coaster, my initial response to the post title was "like in QUEENS?" Which is where I was a few weekends ago. This looks so much more idyllic.

Happy Anniversary! And...that seersucker dress. I'm a sucker for anything seersucker (did you see what I did there? Good.) and, even better, the style of the dress is SO CUTE! I'll make myself one. Eventually. Hopefully. :)
