Sailors and Indians

Photobucket

Picked these photos up at Cats Pajamas Antiques. The first is from 1961, the others from 1962. The only name is on the back of the top photo, it reads "Indian Joy". Reminds me of Moonrise Kingdom

{Things I love in these photos}

Sailor boy

Bouffant hair

Tennis shoes

Pastel car

Knotty pine

Awkward smiles

Love the car! My first car was a 1965 VW Beetle in almost the same colour. I loved that car so much. When it was sold my partner bought me a bike in the same colour in an attempt to fill the void!

Nice pictures, Solanah! Also love the car and bouffant. What I like most about them is even though it's obvious they're posing for the camera, the photos are unmistakably genuine...so casual, relaxed and yes, vintage. Thank you so much for sharing these finds. :-)

Such fun early 60s snaps, thank you for sharing them with us - added to the list of loves, for me, would be the gal's adorable bow belt in the photo with the (awesome) aqua car.

Wishing you a gorgeous first week of July!

Sailor Boy is adorable. I wonder if the two girls are his sisters or if the one standing in front of the car with him is his girlfriend. The two girls are definitely sisters- in the last photo they almost look like twins.

Awww the girl in the blue dress is so little and adorable! I'm so jealous of all of their cuteness. I wonder what happened to them :/.
