Heyday!

Photobucket

A few months ago the ever wonderful Shona, of Heyday contacted me asking if I would model a new limited edition dress for them.

I did a little dance in my living room.

She sent The Orange Bubbles Dress across the pond, it's part of The Mary Collection, which are all a slinky 1940s style.

I love the flowy weight of it, and the fit is superb. I think it would make a perfect travel frock, it's so light and wrinkle resistant. And I really love that it zips in the back, sometimes those 40s frocks that zip at the sides can really mess with your hair!

So go check me out on Heyday!

Wow, I checked out Heyday's site once and thought their clothes were kind of meh (I'm more into fifties) but this is gorgeous.

I'm not surprised that they're a British company, named Heyday, selling forties items...it's always fascinated me how the vintage community in Britain has embraced WWII. From an outsider's perspective, it seems like a decade the nation would rather forget, but it's fascinating how they've embraced it as a point of pride.

Oh, wow! You definitely have "fall coloring" which goes perfectly with that pumpkin orange color.

I love the style, too! It is very typical of the drapy 1940s styles.

Thanks for sharing!
